The Brass Outreach Programme

The Brass Outreach Programme is the home of all our community and school-based teaching. Its aim is to provide an accessible first introduction to brass music for people of all ages and abilities, regardless of their background or circumstances.

We will achieve this through a variety of approaches, including whole-class school teaching, introductory sessions, community workshops and opportunities to experience playing a brass instrument in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Our ambition is to remove the barriers that can prevent people from accessing music education and to demonstrate that brass music is something that everyone can enjoy, participate in and develop through.

We are now delivering our first school-based teaching programmes in two schools, with plans to develop and expand the programme as further opportunities arise.
