Year 4/5 School Teaching

Our Year 4/5 School Teaching programme will work in partnership with local primary and middle schools to provide a year-long introduction to brass music for an entire year group. Pupils will have the opportunity to learn together using accessible plastic brass instruments, allowing every child to participate regardless of their previous musical experience or circumstances.

The programme will introduce pupils to the fundamentals of playing a brass instrument, develop musical skills and confidence, and encourage a lasting interest in music. Where appropriate, pupils will also have opportunities to progress into further brass tuition and ensemble playing through the Academy.
